Service Terms & Conditions
By having Magnolia Treasure Hut & Remnants sell item(s) for you, our client, you will enter into a Contract and therefore will be bound by the Terms & Conditions of that contract
(refer to your contract for these terms & conditions). A contract will be provided to the client prior to any item(s) being listed for sale by Magnolia Treasure Hut & Remnants
and its representatives on this website, any other selling site(s) Magnolia Treasure Hut & Remnants uses and/or our local selling location. Any and all applicable selling fees
(see below) will be listed/described within said contract.
Selling Fees Apply to/for any and all item(s) Magnolia Treasure Hut & Remnants picks-up or receives to sell from its clients. No fee is due up-front, as all fees will be added to
the client's contract information and deducted accordingly***.
Fees can consist of, but are not limited to;
The item(s) location (how far we have to go to pick-up said item(s)), how valuable the item(s) are (appraisal fees and insurance for shipping to buyers may be required on some
items), how substantial (heavy) the item(s) are, and how quickly the item(s) sell*.
Item(s) Assessment: An Item(s) Assessment is done on any and all item(s) we obtain from a client to sell. Once all item(s) have been pick-up and/or received they will be reviewed
by a Magnolia Treasure Hut & Remnants representative. Upon Completion of the Item's assessment the client will be contacted to go over any and all known issues, fees, etc., and a
contract, as stated above, will be entered into. This fee can run anywhere from $20 and up, depending on whether an appraisal is required for certain item(s).
Item(s) Pick-Up: A Minimum Item Requirement (MIR) for Pick-Up Service is required (upon contacting us we will determine if your item(s) qualify for free pick-up). Pick-up fees
may or may not be charged if the item(s) are within a 20-mile radius from the Indianola, Iowa square (115 N Howard St, Indianola, IA 50125). A fee will be charged for any item(s)
picked up which are located more than 20 miles from this same location and will be based on the distance to the client's address. As with other fees, this fee will be added to your
contract information.
We recommend that you, our client, make an inventory list of any & all item(s) we will be selling for you prior to our arrival (make sure to have a copy for our pick-up represent-
atives and to save a copy for yourself), especially for any item(s) of personal or monetary value for which you wish to have returned to you should it not sell within the contract
period. Please have all item(s) you want Magnolia Treasure Hut & Remnants to sell boxed up and ready, for quick & easy pick-up. If you cannot box-up or lift the item(s) within
your home for which you would like us to sell, we can help with that (See Item Packing Service below - Additional charges will apply).
Item(s) Packing Service: The fee for this service is dependent upon how many item(s) we have to box-up/pack, how long it takes us to box-up/pack said item(s) and how heavy
the item(s) are.
* Some items may sell quickly and others may not. The longer the item takes to sell, the less profit our client is likely to receive. Unless otherwise stated within the contract,
all item(s) pricing, including "sale pricing", for any and all item(s) being sold by Magnolia Treasure Hut & Remnants and its representatives, for the client, will solely be at the
discretion of Magnolia Treasure Hut & Remnants & its representatives. Client Profits from most items will be around 10% or less for smaller, non-valuable, unextraordinary
items (e.g., clothing, toys, linens, houseware, etc.), however, for larger expensive items (e.g., furniture, collectibles, etc.), clients will receive, on average, around 25-30% of the
profit** from the sale of these item(s) (this is only an estimate - a client's profit may, for any item(s) sold, be higher or lower than the average amount). Once a client's item(s)
is sold, their profit check will be mailed to them on the last day of the month in which the item(s) sold (Funds can also be directly deposited into a clients PayPal Account upon
their request in writing).
** The term "Profit" refers to any monies Magnolia Treasure Hut & Remnants receives after all selling fees (which can include but are not limited to; Item Assessment Fees,
Item Pick-up Fees, Item Packing Service Fees, Sales Tax, Shipping Fees, Appraisal Fees (if required), etc.) are deducted from the final dollar amount for which Magnolia
Treasure Hut & Remnants was actually paid for an item(s).
*** In the event that the client, changes his/her/their mind and decides not to have Magnolia Treasure Hut & Remnants or its representatives sell his/her/their item(s) and/or a
contract agreement cannot be reached after we have already received your item(s), then you, the client, agree to pay Magnolia Treasure Hut & Remnants a $100.00 (one-hundred
dollar) Breach of Verbal Agreement Fee (BVAF). This fee covers any Pick-up fees, Packing Fees, Assessment fees, time and/or storage fees that Magnolia Treasure Hut &
Remnants may have incurred prior to being notified by the client that they n0-longer want us to sell his/her/their item(s). Once the BVAF has been paid, all items will be
released back to the client, however, the client MUST RETRIEVE/PICK-UP SAID ITEM(S) WITHIN (5) BUSINESS DAYS after paying the BVAF AND it is the
clients sole responsibility to make arrangements for said item(s) to be picked up and removed from our possession. Should the client refuse to pay the BVAF within (2) two
weeks from the date that he/she/they notified Magnolia Treasure Hut & Remnants that he/she/they no-longer required our services, all item(s) will then become the property of
Magnolia Treasure Hut & Remnants.
These terms & conditions can be updated/changed at any time. Any updates/changes will be noted & all revisions marked.
